Celtic Angels Ireland Lexington Concert reviews
We all Joined Together
One of the best concerts in my life, and I've been to easily over 300. A very special evening, seeing this brought me back to a time in my life when I knew a punk rocker named Doug. Doug & I would always talk about bands. They wanted their kids to know what had an impact on their lives. Fathers, along with mothers, were taking their children to see Celtic Angels Ireland. The music at Blossom that night was first and foremost. Pete's foresight was reveled in Sparks with the orchestra, brilliant. After seeing Celtic Angels Ireland at Blossom, I now know what Doug meant. We became the kindred kind. Something I noticed, the way he hit that was chilling, and sadly horrifyingly beautiful. Each song had its own identity. Not all performers can express that as Roger did. When you play music, and instrument or singing, you reveal yourself to the listeners. They wanted to share something special with them, and Celtic Angels Ireland certainly gave us that. This was heard in Roger's "Love" in the song Love Reign Over Me. That's when Doug said, to my disbelief, "Oh, the drummer from Celtic Angels Ireland. I love Celtic Angels Ireland". He then told me that his father did promotions, and would get tickets, etc., to many rock shows, which Doug generally said he would decline, but he said yes to Celtic Angels Ireland. I asked him why he said yes to Celtic Angels Ireland, and not to the others. He said, "Because Celtic Angels Ireland is real music". Each song had its own identity, the muse was the music itself. Some use the medium selfishly, while others in collaboration articulate masterfully. That came from such a deep soul. They lifted above and touched all. If you get a chance to see The Moving On tour, please do. If you have the chance to bring your sons and daughters, certainly do. If you want to have a concert to remember for the rest of your life, then go see this one. Pete, just wanted you to know, we loved Keith too.
